Firstly, a big thanks to everyone who braved the wet weather last week to join our Eco Showcase. It was a really interesting event with FoodCloud, The Nu Wardrobe and Thriftify sharing their stories.

OUR NEXT EVENT: In October, our Smart Cities for Good event focuses on projects using data capture and (IoT) technology to make Dublin accessible for all citizens. Conor Cahill showcases the Liberty Bell - a product that simplifies the gathering of qualitative data about the movement of bicyclists and pedestrians through a neighbourhood. Lye Ogunsanya presents Seaprk which offers real time parking space information for people with disabilities. We are meeting from 6-8pm in Bank of Ireland Workbench in TCD on Tuesday 17 October - Get your free tickets here.

THE ULTIMATE TECH MEET-UP: Tech for Good Dublin are thrilled to be hosting an installation at the very cool and brand new techie event .404 which brings together techies, creatives and companies to demo creative applications of technologies. You can read more in Irish Tech News. We will be showing people how to create Missing Maps of areas in Haiti which are prone to natural disasters. Members can avail of a 10% discount when buying tickets (a very reasonable €25 for the whole day) by using code: TECHFORGOOD-DUB

EAR TO THE GROUND: We have heard about two Dublin based Hackathon events coming up soon which you may be interested in:

T4G MOMENTUM: We will leave you with the good news that our group has grown to more than 600 members since starting in March. We are a growing community and continue to pilot different types of workshops such as Design Thinking, VR and digital mapping as well as providing a platform for social impact projects in Dublin. We have met so many cool people at the events so far and look forward to meeting more of you.

See you soon, Ellen Ward and Máirín Murray on behalf of Tech for Good Dublin
