Dec 2 - Code for SF: Jobs, Housing, and Hacking!

This event has 3 parts:

  1. Need a job? Check out Remix - web-based platform that helps transit planners make smarter decisions. They're working with 60+ cities including Oakland, Baltimore, Seattle, San Antonio, Miami, Calgary, and Melbourne. Dec 9: Demo Night at Code for SF

What to see how volunteers are using technology to tackle hard challenges in San Francisco? Code for SF is hosting a demo night of the projects is members are building. These volunteers are working to increase voter knowledge, get social workers updated information, understand the housing crisis, and build a network of civic tech projects nationally.

There will be short presentations with questions followed by a social event. See what Code for SF is doing, meet the people building these solutions, and even join a project!

Dec 3: Crowdfunding Workshop with Indiegogo at Adobe

This is a 2 part workshop: doors will open at 5:30 PM for mingling, snacks, and drinks. Indiegogo experts will be hosting a lab for beginning campaigners at 6:00, followed by smaller group discussions for all skill levels at 7:00. Attend all, both, or one session!

If you have 90 minutes once a month throughout 2016, this volunteer opportunity is for you!  The SF Public Library Jobs & Careers Center needs a teacher for a free class about networking using social media for job searching.  The class is monthly from 6-7:30 pm with 15-20 people.
