September was a big month for Tech & Social Change Baltimore! We held our first hands-on workshop and worked with partners to showcase nonprofit technology at two events during Baltimore Innovation Week. If you missed any of the events, check out the notes from the sessions.
Using Tech to Advocate, Build Communities, and Fulfill Your Mission - A half-day session where we learned from Baltimore-area nonprofit organizations and social enterprises about what they've done with social media. It was put together by members of the Maryland nonprofit community representing Association for Fundraising Professionals Maryland Chapter, Business Volunteers Maryland, Center for Community Technology Services, Enoch Pratt Free Library Grants Collection, Maryland Nonprofits, Moving Maryland Forward Network, Public Justice Center, Social Enterprise Breakfast, and Tech & Social Change Baltimore.
Homelessness, Youth, & Technology - This session focused on how technology is used by youth who are homeless and how service providers and others can use technology to better serve these youth. It was coordinated by Health Care for the Homeless, Tech & Social Change Baltimore, Wide Angle Youth Media, and the Youth Empowered Society.
