This is to let you know that In September we have lined up three events (so far!) for people interested in using the web or mobile technology for social good. All events take place at the new Impact Hub in Digbeth, Birmingham. We'll even arrange some refreshments too!

  • On September 2nd (9.30am -12.00pm) there is a sesssion on Tableau - free software that can allow anyone to connect to a spreadsheet or file and create interactive data visualizations for the web.
  • On September 7th (6.00pm - 8.00pm) we have our regular open meetup which this month will be about tools and websites that can help community organisations do good things on the web and save time and money too. Please bring your suggestions to share!
  • On September 9th (9.30am - 12.00pm) Andy Mabbett who has been a Wikipedian (or Wikimedian) in Residence at a number of museums, galleries and other organisations will talk about Wikipedia for digital community engagement.

Our meet-ups are for you if you are from a charity, a community group or any nonprofit organization, if you are a venture capitalist, a programmer, an individual with a great idea, or a social changemaker, everyone is welcome. The space is to enable connections to made, conversations to take place and for 'Technology For Good' to continue to develop in the Midlands.

We'd love to see you at one of these events. Please register on the website to let us know you are coming.
