1. SFTech4Good is back: Happy Hour on Sept. 5, Bayes Impact/Data for Good Sept 10, and Save the Dates!

First, welcome all of our new members! Thanks for joining SFTech4Good!
On Friday, September 5, come to the happy hour at the Nonprofit Technology Network Leading Change Summit!
Please RSVP - This portion of the Summit is free to attend with an invitation. To get on the list you MUST email sftech4good@nten.org by Monday, August 25th!
Info: http://www.meetup.com...
On Wed. September 10, come to Data for Social Good with Bayes Impact
Info: http://www.meetup.com...

Please note that you must have a ticket from Eventbrite to attend. RSVP'ing on Meetup alone will not get you in.
We'll talk about data science for social good with Bayes Impact. Bayes Impact is a nonprofit that brings data science driven solutions to challenging social issues. Founded in April 2014 by Paul Duan and Andrew Jiang, they connect non-profit and government initiatives with leading data scientists, academics, and problem solvers. Working in small teams on select critical social impact projects, they're leveraging the power of the one of the biggest revolutions in Silicon Valley - the data revolution - to positively impact our community.

Save the date for Sept. 17th - we’re teaming up with Albert’s Job Listings and Sandbox Suites for a startup job fair. (It’s probably going to happen in their Sunnyvale location.) If you know of any companies or orgs looking to fill roles that might want to be part of this event, contact Regina at reginawalton [at] gmail [dot] com.

Save the date for October 2 - Tech and Philanthropy (details coming soon) and for October 10 - Let's Learn About GeekClubBooks.com, Their Apps, and Their Autism Mission!

2.  Upcoming events & jobs board and our social feeds

Don’t forget that we have our own upcoming events and jobs discussion forum on the Meetup page. We send a newsletter out once a month but with so much going on we can’t include it all. Please check it out and remember to use it when you’re organizing something great or just hear about something interesting.  Definitely share info on jobs! It’s another way to bring more value to this great group! Thanks!

Also, SFTech4Good is on social media, so join us there! We have a Facebook page, aTwitter feed, and a Storify page. (There are others but these are the ones being used most now.) If you’re on those social sites, we’d love for you to give us a like or a follow!

#SFN2 is our hashtag. If you’re at an event and are sharing on social, please use it as it helps people track and be part of the online conversation.
