2. InnovateLA is just around the corner - Nov 2-19!

Keep an eye on the calendar, which is filling up, or host an event yourself at

You might consider: Impact Investing, a Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon, Redefining Innovation with Google.Org and LA2050,  or Civic Hack Night.

InnovateLA is a three week, countywide celebration of the breadth of innovation and creativity within our region. From cleantech to gaming, aerospace to digital media and beyond, Los Angeles is a leading global center for innovation and entrepreneurship and we’re showcasing and celebrating that with a series of events, lectures and talks all over LA.

3. Amit Thakkar, Tech4Good member, has launched www.LawMaker.io – Laws by the People

He writes: We’ve all wondered if our elected officials are listening to us, or if there is any way for regular Americans to really impact our government. That's where LawMaker.io can help: anyone can propose an idea for a new law, crowdsource the idea with like-minded people, and build a coalition of voters to actually engage our elected officials and remind them who they represent! It’s a lobby for the rest of us. And it’s free! Check it out: www.LawMaker.io

Hope you find something of interest here.
