Remember when you were new to the NetSquared community? Was it hard to connect with the global network? That's why we're launching a new program, the NetSquared Welcoming Team. The goal is to improve the experience for everyone by strengthening our online community of organizers.
The NetSquared Welcoming Team will support new organizers as you join our Facebook group or Slack. The Welcoming Team be there to greet you, point you to our most useful resources, and connect you to your fellow organizers (especially those that are in the same region).
The welcoming team's term is six months, starting January 2019. Please join me in congratulating the first cohort and thanking them for their deep commitment to the Tech4Good community.

I'm Ashleigh Turner, one of the co-organizers with the fabulous Vancouver NetSquared group. In my day job, I'm the Communications Director for Options for Sexual Health, a provincial organization that provides sexual health care and education in over 50 communities. My passions are providing access and building community, which permeates everything I do and extends beyond the non-profit world and into my crafting community (I'm a knitter!) where I'm working to create a “communknitty”. By nature I’m an introvert, and part of what I love about the Net Squared community is that I can be my introverted self, and still be comfortable enough to create awesome connections. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of the wonderful global members and welcoming them to the NetSquared family.
