Your friendly Internal Revenue Service (if you're an American, that is) has some new forms (oh boy) that it's soliciting feedback on...

Drafts of certain federal returns filed by exempt organizations are available for public comment. The IRS is currently accepting comments on the following returns:

  • Form 990, Return of Organization Exempt From Income Tax
  • Form 990-EZ, Short Form Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax
  • Schedule A, Form 990 or 990-EZ, Organization Exempt Under Section 501(c)(3)
  • Schedule B, Form 990, 990-EZ, or 990-PF, Schedule of Contributors
  • Form 1120-POL, U.S. Income Tax Return for Certain Political Organizations
  • Form 4720, Return of Certain Excise Taxes on Charities and Other Persons Under Chapters 41 and 42 of the Internal Revenue Code
