NetSquared's picture

Last month's Net2ThinkTank question was, "How Can Nonprofits Use the Social Web During the 'Giving Season'?"

December is all about award nominations and Best of 2007 lists, so why not highlight some of the best ways nonprofits used the social web this year?

Post a blog entry with your picks for at least three of the categories below by December 10th at 9 AM PST. Please tag your posts with "net2" and "net2thinktank." You can create your own categories too! If you don't have a blog, you can post on the NetSquared Blog--here's how. Email me the link to your post at bbravo@techsoup.org and I'll include it in the roundup of Net2ThinkTank posts on the Net2 Blog in the late afternoon of December 10th.

There won't be any voting, or awards, just link love for whomever you choose.

Best Use of the Social Web by an "Extra-organizational Activist" (Term is via an interview with Allison Fine):

"I think a trend that non-profits really need to recognize and try to harness is what I call 'extra-organizational activism.' Some of the most exciting things going on are what individuals are doing by themselves online, through a meet-up or through a blog or an email, and how organizations learn how to leverage that passion, I think, will prove how successful they can be in this new era."
