Please join me in welcoming Bari Samad to the NetSquared team! Bari has joined us to create a framework for nonprofits and businesses to participate in NetSquared Camps and other high-skilled volunteer events. His work will include creating a set of best practices and guidelines that enable the nonprofit sector to accomplish sophisticated digital technology goals by participating in the NetSquared community.
This week, I had the pleasure of skyping with NetSquared Local Organizer, Eduardo Bejar, from Guayaquil, Ecuador. Eduardo shared the story of his journey from being software developer in the for-profit arena to creating a nonprofit organization called FUNDAPI that works with capacity building and technology projects for social change.

As our new Global Community Builder based in Warsaw, Anna will inform and implement the design and management of our programmatic activities across the Central and Eastern Europe region and beyond. Specifically, Anna will focus on growing participation and connections by implementing a social media strategy, supporting offline events, facilitating workshops and managing the launch and development of web-based challenges.
News of the Jumo/GOOD merger has brought much coverage and commentary about the reasons and potential benefits of the two companies joining forces. For those unfamiliar, GOOD is the publisher of a website and magazine highlighting stories of good in the world while Jumo is a social networking site that enables people to connect with causes and take action.
