Marc Manashil's picture

Last Saturday, we hosted a day-long Hack 4 Good at the TechSoup Global headquarters in San Francisco. Inspired by the Social Good Summit and Hackathon that took place the same day in New York City, the Saturday Hack 4 Good brought together community leaders and developers interested in the potential of building apps 4 youth. The event was made possible through the generous support of Microsoft and its Transforming Communities grant.

We’ve now come to the close of the NetSquared 100 Day Challenge (April 18 -- July 31, 2012) and I’d like to share some reflections about the experience.

The Challenge had its roots in the Global Leadership Council (GLC) meetings held here in San Francisco last Spring, which resulted in a series of six commitments designed to translate what the NetSquared team heard from GLC members into concrete actions.

We are excited to announce the launch of the Regional Gathering Fund (RGF), an initiative that will provide financial support to help NetSquared organizers hold regional Camps around the world.

The RGF is being offered with the generous support of SAP and will coincide with the launch of the new NetSquared platform in late July 2012. Our goal is to celebrate the platform launch by giving event participants the opportunity to use and benefit from it!

We have approximately $15,000 available to support Camps in several global locations, with amounts ranging from $1,000 - 5,000 USD.
