Wireless Innovation Project: Apply Today
The Vodafone Americas Foundation is accepting applications for the second annual Vodafone Wireless Innovation Project, a competition to identify and reward the most promising advances in wireless related technologies, which can be used to solve critical problems around the globe. Proposals will be accepted through February 1, 2010, with the final winners announced on April 19, 2010 at the annual Global Philanthropy Forum in Redwood City, CA.

Help Create a Compendium of Competitions for Change

The June #4Change chat topic focused on Challenges/Competitions for Social Change. Early on in that online chat, the request emerged for a compendium or other list of “all†the Challenges and Competitions focused on social benefit. Such an overview would let those interested in participating or facilitating a competition review the full landscape of options, characteristics of each, and so on.

I have enjoyed speaking with many of you in person and online about your projects, and wanted to let you know of another opportunity for funding.
We have just opened our second (2008) HASTAC/MacArthur Foundation Digital Media and Learning Competition. We will award $2 Million this year.
Focus: Participatory Learning
Application Deadline: October 15, 2008

$30,000-$250,000
Young Innovator Awards are targeted at 18-25 year olds
