Join us for the San Francisco Net Tuesday on September 9:
Involver: How Nonprofits Can Create Video Campaigns for Social Networks.
A chat with Susan Gordon, Non-Profit Coordinator for Causes. She tells us a thing or two about how Causes works, how a medical student used Causes to create a 3.3 million+ strong campaign to fight cancer, and how to get your fumigator to join your Cause.
A chat with Nate Ritter (who is awesome) about Twitter, why the government needs to clean up their data, and Giving Anonymously.
The future of the media today truly is online. The amount of people switching to the internet for their daily habits such as reading the news, watching the news, shopping, research... everything can be found online, and can be used to our advantage. It shouldn't be any different for humanitarian-based initiatives. Non-profit organizations can use the internet and the power of voice and visual aid to their advantage online. That's where a website like www.goodtube.org can come in handy. It is completely non-profit, completely free to use, and is a channel for non-profits to use and share their videos with others.
Robert Tolmach talks to us about how Changing the Present hopes to give non-profits a chunk of the $250 billion US gift market, and why giving charitable gifts on Facebook is much more rewarding than throwing sheep.
In two months I will have been blogging at the Nonprofit Eye for two years!!! A year and a half since my first post here at NetSquared. How time flies.
CENTRALVIBE IS UNIQUE BECAUSE:
We fast track progressive political candidates and community activists through a well connected network of charitable organizations and non-profits, rapidly building up their political resumes and community exposure.
A place where you can personalize your fundraising by making a single photo button to honor a loved one or support a friend. Photo buttons inspire people to share and spread their powerful stories helping with the hardest part of giving…the asking!
Well it may be bad form, but my first post is actually about another post I had put up a little while ago. It involves a dog named Zippy. He is a rescue Daschund, very young and needs an eye operation. The operation will end up costing around 3,000 dollars. Without it, he will likely end up blind at a very young age. You can read my original post here under Can you help?
Or if you prefer to make a donation right now, use this link. Zippy is in the Las Vegas area and is a wonderful little dog. He needs a guardian angel soon. If you are looking for a great Daschund to adopt or just want to help him get well, visit www.almosthomerescue.org.

I have an update from the people at Charitydrives.org to add to the post I wrote about them last month. Now you can find places to donate stuff using Charitydrives.org from your cell phone. According to the site, all you have to do is to enter charitydrives.org/mobile into your phone-based web browser, enter your zip code, press Find and voilá, you'll see a list of charity drives within 15 miles of your zip code.
You no longer have an excuse for having a random bag of clothes/books/CDs, in your trunk for 6 months
