Meetup and review last Monday in Oxford

Hi, we had a Social Actions meetup in Oxford last Monday, and I've posted our feedback on your application in one blog post at http://www.netsquared.org/blog/rolf-kleef/social-actions-meetup-oxford#wp

Regards, Rolf.

Great plugin!

Andrej, Great plugin!

I especially like the comment on your post: "I decided to use this instead of adsense." That's *so* awesome! :)

Two thoughts:

What do you think about scanning the full WordPress post for top keywords and using these to help generate related actions? That might help get a richer query - esp. when folks don't tag their posts properly. Maybe worth checking out how Eric Cooper approached this with the Related Ways to Take Action Plugin.

Also wondering how we can help give people an idea of what kind of action they're going to click through to. One idea is to include the name of the platform (i.e. - GlobalGiving, Change.org, Kiva.org, etc) before the title of the action. Another could be action type.

I also like the sleek way it loads and how lightweight it feels. It's also awesome that over 25 people have already downloaded it via WordPress! I hope you'll continue to work on it and share your updates as we approach the April 3rd challenge deadline (and beyond...)

PS - Totally meant to get this feedback to you sooner. Apologies for the delay!

Hello Joe, actually I've

Hello Joe,

actually I've changed the plugin a bit so now it also displays action type in the list. When it comes to searching for particular keywords from text, it can get pretty costy I think. I wanted to keep the widget as much lightweight as possible. Searching and analyzing the text for keywords means stripping html tags, taking only roots of words and some more processing that can become time consuming especially on blogs with higher traffic. But maybe I will implement some kind of not so sophisticated algorithm to search for keywords cheaply.

Re: Social Actions WordPress Plugin

Hi Brno,

Thanks for submitting an entry in the Change the Web Challenge. I like where you are headed with this plugin. I just left a comment for you on your blog regarding the possibility of showing number of click-throughs. Please consider joining the Social Actions Developers Google group, for additional feedback from the emerging Social Actions developer community.
