This small webservice gets the latest trends from twitter and looks for related good causes on Social Actions, an aggregator and search API for loads of activist sites. It is written in Ruby using Sinatra (http://www.sinatrarb.com/). I will put the source code online in a git repository after I have organized it a little more.
This could hopefully give people an idea of possible uses of the Social Actions API.

Meetup and review last Monday in Oxford

Re: Social Actions for Twitter Trends
Hi Johannes,
Just thought I should mention that screenshots of your initial protoype will most likely be featured in the e-newsletter of one of our official sponsors on Monday, as part of a promotion on Change the Web. If you're inspired to push forward on this submission through the weekend, I'd encourage you to do so. Come Monday, I suspect there will be a bunch of eyes on your Twitter trending contribution to Change the Web.
By the way, I know you're already on the Social Actions Developers Google group, but you might want to share any plans you have for the app ahead of the April 3 deadline. I'm sure the Google group would be responsive with feedback. Also, feel free to leave additional comments here on the NetSquared platform.
