April promises to be a busy month for NetSquared. There are already 36 events scheduled with more being posted daily and we’re about to launch the TechedUp campaign and push a recruitment drive with inactive groups.
If you’re a regular reader of this blog you’ve probably encountered one of my twice-monthly roundups of nonprofit tech meetups. But perhaps you’re leary about attending an event because you’re not quite sure what it will be like. Describing NetSquared events is difficult, because each one focuses on a different topic and has a unique flavor set by the organizing team. Instead of words let me try a few pictures that will illustrate our community.
Hey friends, there’s a wealth of great events for the nonprofit tech community. Check ’em out!
UPCOMING NET2VAN EVENTS
Most NetSquared Vancouver events are free or by donation.
In addition to our Digital Nonprofit conference on May 22 Net2van is also planning a trio of CRM and database-focused events. This is a great opportunity for any organization exploring their options for tracking and managing their supporters.
Here are a couple of things coming up that I thought y'all might be interested in, but first a question:
1. Google Grants for Nonprofits - a meetup topic?
$10k per month in AdWords and more is the promise, but what is the reality? Lets run a meetup where we learn what the Grant programme is all about, how to apply, and what the benefits are. From my experience, it's a steep learning curve.
Please get in touch if you're willing to share your experiences - good, bad, earth shattering, or indifferent.
