Involver: How Nonprofits Can Create Video Campaigns for Social Networks.
The Diabetes Hands Foundation runs three different units. One of them, our Online Communities, operates TuDiabetes.com (in English) and EsTuDiabetes.com (in Spanish), two social networks for people touched by diabetes.
We recently started our fundraising campaign, which has mainly depended on the use of a ChipIn widget along with calls to action on a videos we added to TuDiabetes.comas well as to YouTube (the one you can see below) and a few blogs that we maintain.
So far, in a little over a week, we've raised short of $2,000, resulting from a bit more than 30 community supporters chipping in. We will continue our campaign all through July and August, with periodic video-based reminders of the campaign such as this one, that we uploaded today.
