Every month TechSoup's NetSquared community organizers volunteer to bring free and low-cost nonprofit technology events and workshops to over 50 cities. If you want to network with your peers or love to learn at live, in-person events NetSquared is the place for you!
Our chapter leaders believe that we can bridge the digital divide by giving every NGO the tools and skills to accomplish their missions efficiently and effectively. That's why this fall we've planned events specifically for nonprofit staffers who use technology. But we also believe that there's value in getting our tribe together for a good old fashioned party. Pittsburgh has scheduled a holiday party complete with gift exchange and arcade games. Our friends in Los Angeles are holding a "get together" (it can't be a winter party when they don't suffer a proper winter!) Not to be out-done the North Carolina crew is taking over over a brewery for their holiday social. So don't be a grinch - join your local nonprofit techies and get sociable this holiday season!
Thanks to all who were able to attend the program on October 3. This program was possible because of TechSoup, NetSquared, Charlotte County Tourism and Charlotte Arts. Check out a few of the resources discussed:
We have some great new events to help you transition from summer to fall. Next Week we will be doing a live demonstration of Adobe Spark, an online tool that allows you to make social media graphics, videos, and mini web pages quickly and easily. You'll learn how you can combine this free tool with cell phone pictures and videos to share your work with your community and build brand awareness. Thank you all for attending tonight’s session. It’s a pleasure for us to be able to share what we’ve learned, and to help spread knowledge about social media use. While it has it’s downsides, social media is an incredibly powerful and important community-building tool.
