Here at TechSoup we have a lot of different projects--from Net2 to MaintainIT to the TechSoup community forums and a large network of communities across our programs. However, we often find that there's not always a lot of overlap between these groups. In fact, they often often don't even know about one another.
One way we're looking to tie together and broaden our communities is through the Donate Your Brain blog. Donate Your Brain is an RSS feed of hand-selected questions, usually with quick and straightforward answers, from the TechSoup community forums. This makes it easy for all of you tech-savvy folks to contribute your technology expertise to nonprofits worldwide.
It's easy to do. Just sign up for the RSS feed and set up your TechSoup user account. Then chime in when you see a question in the feed you have a solution for. Click right into the question and post your answer in the forums. This is another way you can give back to the nonprofit community without too much of a time- or (pun intended) brain-drain.
