As a representative of one of the N2Y3 featured projects (the KnowMore.org Firefox Extension), I thought it would be helpful to e-mail all of the N2Y2 featured projects and ask them for their best piece of advice for this year's featured projects. WOW! Over the last few days, I got some AMAZING responses from 11 of last year's featured projects – including last year's top three prize winners! They're both practical and inspiring and definitely worth checking out - even if you're not a N2Y3 featured project!
Vancouver had its first Net Tuesday in February and its second in March. Its third and latest event happened this past Tuesday and was a great success! Presenters included Jason Mogus of Communicopia.com, Scott Nelson of FearlessCity, and Keith Grennan of Sprout. Our host for the evening was Sarah Pullman.
A few weeks ago, Asa Dotzler of Firefox wrote a post about our featured project and quest for developer support. The same day, Bernard Dolan made a shout-out to the Strange Famous Records Forum. Over the days that followed, a number of talented developers from all over the world sent emails offering their help & support. Wow!
The KnowMore.org Firefox Extension is currently seeking a volunteer Firefox extension developer to help us develop a beta in time for the NetSquared Conference (May 27-28th).

I wanted to offer a HUGE thanks to all of those who voted on or otherwise supported the KnowMore.org Firefox Extension. Thanks to YOU – we are one of this year's 21 Featured Projects!

Many projects provided interesting information, but didn't put a lever into the individual's hand. Alternatively, other projects provided great depth of participation, but not in a way that would scale to multiple communities...”
Hi! My name's Joe Solomon and I submitted the KnowMore.org Firefox Extension mashup. What if your favorite clothing store used child labor? Or what if your local office supply store got their paper pulp from endangered rainforests? Once we build (and once you install) our Firefox extension, we will alert you to these issues (and others) whenever you go and visit these company's websites!
