Technology has expanded the possibilities of what we can do — we can use Glass to augment reality. We can video chat with people on the other side of the world. Pictures taken on the surface of Mars can be sent back to Earth in a few hours. There is so much to do, and so much is possible. Our presenter, Paula Jones, was at a conference a few hours from our meeting, so we used a Google Hangout. We had 4 in the Hangout -- our meeting room at UNC-TV (in Research Triangle Park, NC), one participant in Michigan, our presenter (Paula) in Concord, NC, and me in Chapel Hill, NC (stuck at home due to last minute car problems). Paula had problems connecting with a failing computer and/or hotel Internet connection. And we occasionally lost UNC-TV, we think because the connection was wireless until switched to hardwired later in the evening. The rest of us were OK wireless.
