CMN has over 60 customized web mapping applications tailored to meet the needs of many communities of interest. These applications are address national bio-regional and specific community needs. CMN hosts the first (2005) and possibly still the only fully interactive GIS based "Green Map" instance http://www.shim.bc.ca/atlases/greenmap/Index.cfm
Since 2000, CMN has been building a diverse collaboration with stewardship organizations with other ENGOs and with local governments to help change the way we care for our local environments. CMN believes freely sharing data about the "commons" is a critical step in avoiding the "tragedy of the commons"
